Oasis is Back! How to Get to Heaton Park
Heading to Heaton Park for Oasis 2025? Here’s How to Get There from Hotel Indigo Manchester
Oasis is back and they’re playing FIVE massive shows at Heaton Park this July! If you’re lucky enough to have tickets, you’re probably asking: “How do I get to Heaton Park from Manchester city centre?” or “What’s the best way to get to the Oasis concert from my hotel?”
Don’t worry, we’ve got you sorted. Here’s everything you need to know if you’re staying at Hotel Indigo Manchester – Victoria Station, steps away from all the main transport links.
Easiest Way to Get to Heaton Park? Take the Tram!
We’re not kidding when we say we’re right next to Victoria Station. From there, you can hop on a Metrolink tram straight to Heaton Park stop on the Bury line. It’s direct, easy, and takes around 15–20 minutes.
Here’s what to do:
- Exit the hotel and walk into Victoria Metrolink station (literally next door)
- Catch the Bury line tram
- Get off at Heaton Park
FYI: Heaton Park tram stop will close at 9pm. After the concert, it’s best to use Bowker Vale to travel to the city centre and to Bury.
Pro tip: Use contactless or grab the Bee Network app for tickets. Trams run every few minutes, and extra services are running for the concerts.
Shuttle Buses from the City Centre
If trams aren’t your thing or you want a bit more space, there are official shuttle buses running from Lever Street in the Northern Quarter to Heaton Park.
- Running from: 1:30pm to 7:00pm
- Tickets: £10 return via the Bee Network app
- Drop-off: Right inside the park at the North Gate
- Return buses start after 10:15pm, an easy and direct route back to the city.
Just a 10-minute walk from Hotel Indigo, this is a great alternative if the tram queues are looking a little Liam Gallagher–level intense.
Feeling Adventurous? You Can Walk It
If the sun’s out and you’re up for a 45–50 minute stroll, it’s totally doable to walk from the hotel to Heaton Park. Just head north along Cheetham Hill Road, and you’ll be there in no time. Make a pit stop along the way for drinks or snacks, there are plenty of local gems between Victoria and Prestwich.

Can You Drive to Heaton Park?
You can… but we wouldn’t recommend it. There’s no official parking at Heaton Park, and there will be road closures and major traffic delays on all concert nights. If you must drive, use Park & Ride sites like Radcliffe or Whitefield, then catch the tram from there to the park. Alternatively, consider private parking options via JustPark, but book well in advance.
Big Green Coach – For Those Coming From Out of Town
If you’re staying at Hotel Indigo but came from further afield (or you’re meeting up with your out of town mates), Big Green Coach is offering return trips from Manchester City Centre. They’re official travel partners, and it’s a good call if you want a direct ride to the concert gates and back. Just make sure you pre-book your spot.
Staying at Hotel Indigo Manchester
We’re right in the heart of the city, on top of Victoria Station, making us one of the best places to stay in Manchester for gigs at Heaton Park. Plus, once you’re back from the concert, you can unwind in your stylish room, grab a drink at the bar, or head out into the buzzing Northern Quarter (if you’re not totally wrecked from belting out Wonderwall, that is).
