Manchester Christmas Markets

The Manchester Christmas markets are back with a bang this year, with sensational food from across the world, drinks and Yuletide gifts. We welcome more than 300 stalls and chalets all over the city. All stalls and chalets are free and easily accessible, so everyone can join in on the fun.

Not only can you meander from stall to chalet, but there’s a market trail which snakes through the heart of the city. There’s an array of gifts to be bought from European and local producers, ranging from beautiful amber jewellery to handmade Belgian kitchenware.

Don’t forget the sumptuous variety of food and drinks. Remember, traditional bratwurst is what Manchester’s Christmas markets are especially famous for, so don’t miss out!

The Manchester Christmas markets are at their best and brightest at night, with the lights glittering against the night sky. If you’re travelling specifically just to see it, you’ll need a good place to stay for the night, as the hours will fly by, and no doubt you’ll be exhausted!

Whether you’re treating family or friends to a festive weekend away to see the Manchester Christmas markets, be sure to book your stay with us, as it’s right outside our front door!

So you’ll be able to snuggle up in bed before you know it. You can also nip to and fro, to drop all of your goodies off in your room, so you don’t have to carry them around with you all evening.

Wide selection of rooms

Discover our selection of rooms which all encompass Manchester’s vibrant heritage. Choose the Press Room, if you want to be transported back to the peak printing era, with elements of industrial textiles. Our press rooms feature many aspects from this period including industrial machinery used for the purposes of carrying out traditional book bindings.

Pick the Tea Room, if you want to be situated within the original listed building. All of our Tea Rooms are inspired by Manchester’s growing fondness for tea during the Victorian Period. You will find elements of timber, brass and china in the all over the place, reflecting the city’s great love of the drink, which goes back generations.

Or maybe the Arkwright Room is the one for you? It was only fitting to design some of our rooms to honour Richard Arkwright, as his first steam-powered cotton mill was just a few footsteps away from our front door! Our Arkwright Rooms pay tribute to Arkwright, designed with a mix of raw materials such as cotton, alongside rich green velvets and timber. Expect a cozy yet elegant room with oodles of history.

We have a range of rooms available for you to stay in. We have suites rooms, superior rooms, standard rooms and accessible rooms.
